Know Before You Go

We’re excited to have you join us for at Toast of the Town! To help you make the most of your experience, we’ve put together a quick guide with everything you need to know before you arrive — from parking and check-in details to what to bring and what to expect. Take a moment to review the info below so you’re ready to hit the ground running!

Parking, Valet & Transit Options

Attendees may choose between self-parking at TechTown's lot or on the street. There is also complimentary valet parking available at the main entrance. Both options will be clearly marked upon arrival, with staff on-site to assist.

Self Parking

  • TechTown's parking lot is located off of Amsterdam, between Cass and Woodward. The address to the lot is 6161 Woodward Ave.
  • Street parking is available, both metered and free.

Valet

  • Valet parking is available for all guests at the main entrance to the event. To access the valet, please enter Burroughs from Cass.

Public Transit + Bike Share

  • TechTown is served by the QLINE Amsterdam Station, DDOT routes 16, 23 and 53 and 498, and SMART routes 445, 450, 460, 465, 475. It is served by DDOT routes 80 and 89 during the morning and evening. TechTown is also served by MoGo, Detroit Bike Share. Bike parking is available next to our building and in the bike shelter at Cass Ave. and Amsterdam St.

Registration & Entry

Upon arrival, head to the registration area where our team will help you check in and get set up. Whether you’ve pre-registered or need assistance on-site, we’ll make sure you’re ready to enjoy the event in no time.

  • You will enter in from Burroughs St. You will see signs directing you to registration.

  • If you are attending as part of a larger group/company registration, please tell one of our team members when you check-in. 

  • Once checked-in you will receive a name badge. Name badges must be worn at all times during the event. This helps maximize networking opportunities, ensures access to food stations and bars, and enhances the overall guest experience.

What to Wear

Feel free to show up in business fun attire — think polished with a touch of personality. Or simply wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident. This is an outdoor (tent) and indoor affair so be prepared for Michigan weather. Just a heads-up: this isn’t a black-tie affair, so you can leave the ball gowns and tuxedos at home!
